Manager Alan Squire has committed himself for another season.
We have a new under 18s manager in Graham Lewin, who has returned to the club from Asfordby Amateurs. Coming with him from Asfordby is Mick Parker, who, along with Graham, will also help out second team manager Martin Brunning on Saturdays.
Last year's skipper Jason Joshi has retired, but Alan Squire is hoping the rest of the squad will sign up for the coming season. And he is looking for continuity throughout the club, with a good proportion of the under 18s playing in the reserves, which hopefully will see them coming through to the first team.
Behind the scenes, Paul Teare has joined the committee from Grantham Town. Paul will be fundraising for the club and his first job is to raise cash for the new six-section cantilever stand which should be ready for the coming season. The new tea-bar will also be ready, and we are putting in for a grant to upgrade the floodlights.
The pitch has been verti-drained again and reseeded and is looking really good. By the start of the season it should be in fantastic condition.
The new season gets going on Saturday, August 20th 2005 and Alan is hoping for around four pre-season friendlies as a warm-up. It is hoped two will be at home on the two Saturdays before the season starts - August 6th and 13th. More information to follow.
